DESCRIPTION: English made single chain fusee skeleton timepiece in a sharp Gothic frame with 6 heavily turned baluster pillars, and a solid silvered chapter ring and pierced lancet hands, c1840. Silvered engraved brass cross piece indicating it was retailed by Griffiths of London.
CONDITION: silvering on the dial and plinths has discolored and is worn. Old dome is a nice older replacement, but is a bit wide, thus extends off the sides of the base. Overall a good original skeleton clock. Ht of plinth and frame = 13" Overall ht including base and dome = 17"
